Shortcut has been a game-changer for my video editing needs! The intuitive interface makes it easy to create stunning videos quickly. I love the drag-and-drop feature, transitions, and customizable templates.

Excellent program and the learning curve is short especially if you have done video editing before. With each update the program gets better. All of this for free.

It is really a good software for beginners and/or occasional video makers like me. I have experienced no troubles installing, setting up (automatically) and finishing a project from a to z. i used a chat gpt as a personal guide and there was no flaws in work. F.E.: cutting a video in 3 is as simple as making 3 markers, then pressing "s" 3 times, then exporting 3 separate video clips from the timeline. The software (shotcut) creates a sequence of tasks in the right hand side of the screen and executes them one by another. It'sreally convenient and simple! Try this out if you are looking forward to "just cut a video" or something. It's worth waiting to install.

Shotcut is a free video editor that gets the job done. I needed to split a video into two parts, and while it wasn't immediately obvious how to do it, I eventually figured it out. Here's what I liked: Free: Shotcut is completely free to use. Does the basics well: It has all the essential tools for basic video editing. Cross-platform: Works on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Here's what could be improved: User interface: It can be a bit confusing to navigate at first. Not as intuitive as some other editors: Finding specific features can sometimes be a challenge. Overall: Shotcut is a decent option for basic video editing tasks like splitting videos. It's free and gets the job done, but the user interface could be more intuitive.

I'm no video editor and have no deep interest in computers and especially no fascination with software but sometimes need to edit videos for projects. I tried several video editing programs that invariably seemed irritatingly complex to me. Recently started using Shotcut and so far it's given me everything I need with surprisingly little effort and no month-long learning curve.

As an occasional video editor user Shotcut seems to me to be too complex and not intuitive.

Shotcut is the best open source non-linear video editor.

Gosto muito do programa porpem na atualização ele está apontando erro códico 5 e não prossegue. Desde então não consigo utilizar mais.

I have got to be honest, I have tried most of the big names and I think Shotcut puts them all to shame. It is an excellent piece of software and they are always improving it and gradually adding features and the price is well perfect. Actually honestly having paid for the Number one Studio and asking for a refund as it fell short of Shotcut, I would willingly pay for this brilliant piece of software.

Absolutely the best open source video editor there is. Thank you Shotcut!

120/5000 Excellent program, very easy to use, just look at the videos on youtube to learn what you need to start

Some common chores are really easy - trimming the beginning and end of a clip and combining clips together. I have found it to be solid. I'm not a power user but so far I think it's a great tool.

Posted 11/10/2017: Today I needed to use Shotcut and, in a surprising way, it was more useful than Adobe Media Encoder. I was able to export to the format I wanted, without complication. Thank you, Shotcut! Posted 09/20/2017: I've been using shotcut for a year. I'd rather use enough to have a consistent opinion. I work with video editing and use Adobe Premiere as well as After Effects. I just love Shotcut. Despite having few (and irrelevant) bugs, Shotcut is lightweight, fast, easy, and incredibly powerful. For jobs that require more speed and simplicity, I'm always using Shotcut. For me, this software is a welcome surprise from Sourceforge and I thank the developer immensely for making this great tool that helps me work. Thank you very much!! I hope this software grows a lot and is very successful. I would like to help by doing tutorials and writing about it. Shotcut is undoubtedly the best free alternative I found on the internet. I've tried dozens of software and Shotcut is the best!
